The new season of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) is set to begin, and the promos of the show are already being shot with its host Amitabh Bachchan. Big B, who’s currently shooting for a film in Lucknow, will be shooting two of the show’s promos there.
“Bachchan sir is going to be shooting in Lucknow for the next month or so and since it’s a start-to-finish schedule, he can’t go to Mumbai to shoot the promos of KBC. That’s why the show producers decided to shoot two of them in Lucknow,” informs Eiqbal Jaafri, the line producer in Lucknow.
According to Jaafri, one of the promos will be shot at an auditorium in Gomti Nagar and another one at Chowk in the city in the first week of July. “The dates have been finalized but the production house does not want them to be disclosed due to security reasons. Since one of the shoot locations is at a crowded market, they fear that a huge crowd will gather to see Bachchan sir which may hamper the shoot,” says Jaafri.
“People from Lucknow will be a part of the crowd shown in the promo. I believe a participant from Lucknow, who’s been selected for the show, will also feature in it,” he adds.
The promos will be directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who wrote Bareilly Ki Barfi.
Another shoot planned with Big B in Lucknow is of a song which is on the lines of Miley Sur Mera Tumhara, featuring sporstpersons and other celebrities. For that too, he will shoot his portions while in the city.
